New ARS Owner to Ramp Up Webmaster Offerings

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The parent company of ARS has been acquired by Becky DeForest, a former chief executive of the company and current owner of Storm Media.

ARS, or Adult Revenue Service, offers 600 tours, 8,000 free hosted galleries and the Home Sex Network live cam site.

DeForest, in a statement, said she plans on “instilling a sense of vision and leadership back into the company through new goals of extending the offerings of content, services, payouts and more.”

Parent company Innovative Ideas International Ltd. previously was run by brother MarcDe.

“The demand for the change in ownership and leadership was largely due to the termination of the contract between ARS and the company that provided the paysite portfolio,” DeForest said. ”We simply could not rely on another company to provide quality websites for ARS webmasters to promote.”

The acquisition is planned to help ramp up ARS’s services, she said, because Storm Media has worked for two years to build up its library of content.

Storm Media provides online adult entertainment websites with licenses for more than 2 million pictures and 300,000 movies, De Forest said.

Daniel B, who acted as an adviser on the transaction through venture company DMA, said that Becky DeForest’s acquisition was the most appropriate choice.

“Becky was the perfect fit to not only run things once again, but to take over ownership 100 percent,” Dan B said. “She was the CEO of ARS/Innovative Ideas from late 2001 through 2004, and I felt Becky would have the energy and ingenuity to return the company to it’s winning streak.”

DeForest said she hopes to turn around the company, which has faced several challenges through the years, including the possibility of losing credit card processing because of high charge-backs.

“An affiliate program is only as strong as the products it sells,” she said. “And my vision is to return ARS back to its long held position of being an industry leader.”
